Simplified Robert's Rules

  • A condensed parliamentary procedure for fair, orderly, and efficient meetings.

  • Roles include the Chair, Secretary, Timekeeper, and members.
  • Standard agenda: call to order, minutes, reports, unfinished business, new business, announcements, and adjournment.
  • Motions follow a clear path: move, second, state, debate, vote, announce.
  • Common motions: main motion, amendment, point of order, appeal, table, and adjourn.
  • A majority vote decides most issues; a two-thirds vote (or a majority with prior notice) is typically required for major changes such as amending bylaws.[1][2]
